Wednesday 9th February -

Returned to university despite the horrendous weather, which we were told was really bad by Malta's standards. We saw localised flooding and got drenched walking around campus. The weather didn't stop us playing basketball once it had stopped raining and Gavin, David and myself even took a very quick dip in the pool. This was done to try and build a better reputation for the Scots as the other three students from Scotland have a bad reputation for their drinking habits. As it was Chinese New Year I made a stir-fry for dinner with chicken, straw mushrooms, button mushrooms, onion and a variety of herbs and flavours. It was quite spicy but everyone seemed to enjoy it.

The pool's lovely and warm, honest
